Recommended delivery schedule
- Reads: Half-hourly (HH)
- Delivery: Once daily (preferred)
- Packaging: Where possible, deliver a single file per meter per day containing a full day’s worth of HH reads.
Data logger configuration
If you are configuring a data logger to send files to Utopi, we recommend the following settings:

These settings can be adjusted based on your operational requirements. Configuration details for the file transfer will be agreed during the commissioning process.
FTP/SFTP connection details
Once onboarding is complete, you will receive credentials to connect to our secure FTP server (typically issued per site):

Files should be uploaded to the /upload directory.
Adding sites
If you require CSV Import for additional sites, contact your Utopi representative or email our support team. We will configure the new site in the platform and share the FTP/SFTP credentials for that site.
Support
During the initial go-live period, Utopi monitors incoming files to ensure data is processing correctly. If you expect to see data that hasn't appeared in the platform, or if you encounter connection issues, please contact us at support@utopi.co.uk.
